Following our Architecture Design Studio 2 selection, our first Culture and History 2 assignment is a precedent studies of Le Corbusier's Philips Pavilion. (technically designed by Iannis Xenakis)
It's both a group and individual assignment, where a group of 5 students contributing a section of the precedent studies. I've teamed up with Peh Ker Neng, Jason Lee, Eugene Peng and Nicholas Yap for this, and each of us are assigned to study on of the subjects below:
- Concepts/ Massing/ Form
- Structure
- Materials
- Construction
- Components
A compilation of all of our research will be manually drawn on a A2 size board, which also includes the architect's information, fast facts of the building and building inventory such as plans and perspectives.
